Sustainable Land Specialists

The idea of establishing our NGO - Sustainable Land Specialists first took place at the end of 2009 having the purpose of reuniting under the same organisation people who are passionate and concerned about sustainable development and protection of the environment.

Ever since, we started recruiting members from several cities in Romania, cities such as Oradea, Cluj- Napoca, Timisoara, while we are creating our headquarters, expected to be finalised in approximately 2 months.

So far, we are consisted of a group of 15 people, organised under three subsidiaries in three different Romanian cities: Oradea, Cluj- Napoca, Timisoara.

Among our main objectives we can underline:

• to promote the concept of energy efficiency of the buildings and to highlight its benefits accompanying EU directives and targets;
• to inform and build the target public, specialists and market players, as well as academic and administrative institutions about these concepts and their manner of implementation;
• to take into consideration environmental aspects when developing land usage projects and managing development decision making;
• to support the society while developing sustainable communities and collaborating with other non governmental organizations activating in the same field.
